Our client is a rapidly expanding manufacturing company dedicated to producing innovative, high-quality health products and located in South Jersey. They are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Human Resources Director to lead the development and implementation of their human resources strategy, aligned with the company's business objectives and long-term goals. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including payroll, talent management, workforce and succession planning, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, as well as organizational development and fostering company culture.
This role is hybrid 3 days a week in the office!

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's mission, values, and goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify human capital priorities and develop effective solutions.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on organizational structure and company culture.
- Lead and manage recruitment, onboarding/termination, and retention strategies/processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Manage succession planning to ensure the future readiness of leadership roles.
- Address complex employee relations issues, questions, and concerns, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies (consulting outside legal counsel as needed).
- Develop and maintain positive employee relations and foster a culture that supports growth and retention.
- Evaluate and optimize the company's benefits offerings in line with market trends.
- Lead annual open enrollment for benefits and serve as the point person for benefits inquiries.
- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Ensure HR practices support an equitable, inclusive, and diverse work environment.
- Process overall payroll functions, including payroll processing, payroll taxes, tax reporting, acquisitions, reviewing and revising policies and procedures, as well as internal controls, system review, and upgrades (currently less than 100 employees).
- Lead initiatives that strengthen company culture, wellness, recognition, and employee engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; master's degree or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in HR & Payroll, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, in a manufacturing and fast-paced environment.
