Job Summary Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Director of Operations leads the facilities department, the food service department, the housekeeping department, receptionists, and information technology. Will also assist with operations as needed in resident services, recreation, front desk, and other areas. Longview serves up to 210 residents of our independent, assisted, and enhanced assisted living community. Requirements Typical job duties and responsibilities
- Supervising and assisting in facilities, food service, housekeeping, receptionists, and information technology.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Developing and coordinating strategic preventative maintenance plans.
- Developing and coordinating capital replacement planning.
- Assisting in project management of renovations, upgrades, and all repairs.
- Trouble shooting, implementation, analyzing needs, maintain the systems, and ensure security of information technology alongside the contracted company.
- Ensuring and assisting with Longview's security and fire safety programs.
- Assists in the collaboration with Marketing & Sales staff on move-ins and move-outs, and ensuring that the rooms are ready for move in.
- Collaborates closely with human resources on staff recruitment and retention within their specific departments.
- Serves as a primary liaison and staff report to the Internal Affairs Committee of the Board of Directors and Board of Director meetings using key performance indicators (KPIs) for operations.
- Maintaining up-to-date policies and procedures for areas of responsibility, drawing upon the knowledge and expertise of direct reports, advising the Chief Executive Officer, and seeking review and approval as necessary.
- Planning, forecasting and managing budget.
- Assessing and responding to the organization's needs for staffing, materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure the availability of resources needed for success within budget parameters.
- Responds as necessary to unplanned events requiring response and decision-making.
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders that include suppliers, partners, contractors, and more.
- Assisting in the management of staff, staff planning, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, risk management training, and evaluation of staff.
- Ensuring there is someone on call for the facility 365 days a year/24 hours a day and have the knowledge on when to escalate matters.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Education/Training/ Experience:
- A college degree and 5 years of experience in facility operation management or 7 plus years of experience in facility operation management.
- Preferred experience in older adult living facilities.
- Experience with budgets, risk and safety management plans, and information technology.
- Proven leadership and organizational abilities
- Preferred experience in coaching staff members.
- Possesses technical knowledge of facility operations and guides workflow strategy.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Analytical, emotionally intelligent, and solution-orientated, engaged leader.

HOURS: 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Evenings and weekends as required. The Longview campus is open 7 days a week/24 hours a day/365 days a year.
