Job Description:

RiseWell Community Services is looking for a full-time Senior Division Director of Affordable Supportive Housing to join our Residential Team. This individual will provide essential strategic leadership and oversight for the planning, start-up, development, and on-going operations of RiseWell's Affordable Supportive housing projects.

In this position, you will be providing opportunities for low-income, formerly homeless individuals and those with special needs to improve their health, quality of life, and helping maintain community living for as long as possible.

Our Senior Division Director should be a dynamic and proactive individual who excels independently but also as a collaborative team member. This candidate will possess strong leadership skills, demonstrated critical thinking abilities, and a flexible approach to problem-solving. A deep understanding of the diverse needs of the populations we serve is essential. This includes working with individuals facing mental health challenges, substance use issues, and housing instability. Ideally, you are a self-starter with a strong sense of strategic insight and a commitment to making a meaningful impact.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree in Human Services, license preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing and overseeing Affordable/Supportive housing projects
  • Minimum 5 years in supervisory/management experience
  • Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from NYS Office of Mental Health Experience with the start-up and ongoing development of Affordable Supportive Housing programs
  • Working knowledge of funding source requirements for Affordable Supportive Housing including OMH, DOH, NY1515, HPD, HCR
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel throughout Long Island and NYC

CORE & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Responsible for leadership and oversight of start-up, development, and on-going operations of RiseWell's Affordable Supportive Housing projects
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Project Directors and team of Residential staff with a focus on strong performance management, retention, engagement, and professional development
  • Engage in program development as it related to services, contract fidelity, and program evaluation
  • Represent RiseWell with local officials, community boards, funders, and planning boards
  • Ensure compliance with funding sources, oversight of property and facilities maintenance and development of policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations
  • Ensure timely rent-up of all Affordable Housing projects
  • Work directly with property management companies and compliance tax credit companies to promote efficient operations and compliance, as well as facilities department and superintendents
  • Oversee lease up process and work with teams to maximize occupancy and remove unnecessary impediments to housing
  • Provide oversight as well as development of regular reports to monitor progress, outcomes, expected targets, budgets, as it relates to various departmental activities, including leased housing and contract expenditures, while working with our financial team to maximize revenue
  • Conduct property searches for new development locations and work with Chief Administrative Officer to evaluate feasibility of properties
  • Identify and make use of data/program metrics to strategize, plan and make informed operational decisions
  • Develop and monitor clear operational processes in compliance with Federal, State and local laws and agency policies and procedures via the monthly chart monitoring and audits, C/QM chart monitoring, quarterly program POCA/PIP reviews, quarterly outcome reporting, etc.
  • Conduct High Risk Committee meetings quarterly
  • Provide 24 hour on-call assistance for critical incidents/emergencies and crisis intervention
  • Engage in program development as it relates to services, contract fidelity, and program evaluation while ensuring programs and services are delivered with a harm reduction, person centered approach
  • Remain current on changing developments in individual field of expertise

SALARY: $135,000.00 Annually
