Specific Responsibilities Would Include:

Position Overview:

Centric Brands is seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded individual to join our team as the Senior Director of Planning & Analysis. This pivotal role will be responsible for leading the planning function across multiple brands, driving the development and execution of comprehensive strategic plans to optimize inventory management and achieve financial targets. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of the division, driving profitability, and optimizing resource allocation to support our growth objectives. The ideal candidate would have experience in both wholesale planning and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Lead sales and margin budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between financial objectives and operational initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategic planning initiatives to support business objectives and drive profitable growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Production, Operations and Finance to align planning efforts with overall business goals
  • Utilize data analytics and market insights to identify opportunities and risks, informing decision-making and driving continuous improvement
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics, providing regular performance analysis and actionable recommendations to drive business results
  • Drive process efficiencies and standardization within the planning function to enhance productivity and accuracy
  • Provide support in the analytics and completion for the weekly and monthly management presentations with group president and the executive management team
  • Operate as business point person for system and tool implementations ensuring that business processes are optimized
  • Streamline reporting to allow for improved business analysis and identification of risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with SVP Finance and VP of Planning on strategic initiatives to achieve financial targets and corporate goals

Inventory Management Planning:

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels, and reduce carrying costs
  • Partner with Sales leads to effectively manage open-to-buy and inventory flows
  • Partner with supply chain and operations team on vessel bookings and inbound receipt flows
  • Monitor inventory performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce obsolescence.
  • Prepare and Manage warehouse inbound and outbound unit flow projections by location
  • Lead the annual and seasonal planning processes, including assortment planning, inventory allocation, and sales forecasting

Margin Management:

  • Analyze product and customer margins to identify opportunities for margin improvement.
  • Prepare annual sales and margin budget as well as monthly management estimate by product category, customer, and brand
  • Identify and validate sales and margin growth and inventory productivity opportunities

Order Book Management:

  • Oversee order book against sales and margin plan and ensure system accuracy.
  • Monitor booking trends and analyze sales pipeline to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales in achieving sales targets.

Leadership :

    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the planning team, promoting professional development and growth opportunities
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of combined experience in finance, inventory, and sales planning, with a proven track record of success in strategic planning, inventory management, and financial analysis
  • Wholesale Experience in Apparel, Accessories, Fashion and/or Consumer Products industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and planning software; experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred

Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000

At Centric Brands, we believe our people are our greatest asset, and we seek to structure competitive compensation offers to ensure that we are able to attract and retain the best talent. Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
