A day in the life of the Senior Director, Real Estate and Construction at VF looks a little like this.
The Senior Director of Real Estate and Construction is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and execution of real estate and construction projects across the Americas region ranging from retail to office to distribution centers. This role involves managing a team of professionals, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Director will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Strategic Planning and Development:
Develop and implement the company's real estate and construction strategy for the Americas region.
Identify and evaluate new real estate opportunities and potential acquisitions.
Oversee market research and analysis to inform decision-making.
Project Management:
Lead and manage multiple construction projects from inception to completion.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Oversee partnerships with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of real estate and construction professionals.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage project budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor project expenditures and ensure cost control measures are in place.
Prepare financial reports and present to senior management and stakeholders.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with real estate and construction projects.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
Stakeholder Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
Communicate project updates and progress to senior management and stakeholders.
What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in real estate and construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects in a retail and corporate environment.
Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to real estate and construction.

Hiring Range :
$190,080.00 USD - $237,600.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
