About the Role

As a Senior Director of Retail Brand Experience, you will be developing and implementing brand concepts and inspiring product presentation, to drive customer engagement, enhance brand visibility in our retail environment to drive revenue and relevance for the GAP brand. This function is responsible for implementing premium and elevated consumer experiences and presentations for the brand across the geography. The team works collaboratively across brand and business partners to develop brand and product journeys, presentation strategies, styling direction, product storytelling as well as playbooks & training modules that create a distinct point of view for the brand at retail.

What You'll Do
  • The Brand Retail Experience Team works directly with business, operations and design functions to develop, drive and scale new concepts / retail expansion for the brand across the marketplace.
  • You will extend the Brand vision by providing strategic leadership to develop best in class plans across the integrated marketplace, building retail brand experiences for Mens, Womens, Kids & Baby, focusing on consumer engagement and growth in priority products.
  • For Direct, this includes adapting and extending design direction, programming the monthly flow of storytelling, work with the card member teams, and managing store 365 elements.
  • You will lead the retail experience development and launch plans for new store openings and re-fits, inclusive of traffic driving initiatives. You will lead the retail marketing process, make presentations to drive inspiration and collaboration, run a meeting offense to stimulate collaboration and communicate direction with confidence.
  • This role is a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Brand CMO.
Who You Are
  • Possess a clear passion for Retail and the art and science of visual merchandising & styling.
  • Passion for team, people development and coaching & mentoring a diverse team of young talent.
  • Visual background with previous experience in a vertical retail environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Design or related field or extensive experience in Visual Merchandising in lieu of a degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in retail marketing, visual merchandising, product merchandising or directly related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience creating engaging and inspiring in-store displays.
  • Ability to create unique presentation solutions for various retail environments that inspire the consumer, drive sales and align with the brand voice.
  • Ability to travel.

Salary Range: $191,000 - $262,700 USD. Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
