TitleSenior Director, Sport Development & ProductClassificationExemptReports to Managing Director of Product, Sales & MarketingJOB DESCRIPTIONSummary/ObjectiveThis role is designed to provide resources and tools to develop the sport of football, particularly for flag and youth tackle divisions. They will see oversee the Sport Development Division - including people, educational content development, product development and internal collaboration.In this role, the individual will oversee USA Football's product offerings as well as USA Football's Development Program. They are also responsible for budgeting, internal resource management, strategic planning, curriculum partner management, development vendor/partner identification management and working with IT to identify 3rd party integrations. Lastly, they will work cross collaboratively, including direct project contributions, with USA Football's various divisions to develop programming that are relevant and engaging for coaches, athletes, officials and others.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.•Oversight of entire Sport Development Division, from youth tackle football through competitive flag, including oversight, along with appropriate department heads, of USA Football's long-term approach to athlete development - the Football Development Model•Provide strategic insight and oversee product/curriculum creation through department heads•Travel as appropriate to learn from key personnel and oversee execution of team and direct support and expertise as necessary•Create, Draft and present strategic plans for USA Football's prospects, customers, internal divisions and occasionally other stakeholders, such as the board of directors or strategic partners•Through the Development Program - ensure we are creating, identifying and developing a pool of athletes and coaches throughout the country that helps us build alignment through the Football Development Model at every level of the sport to deliver sustained competitive excellence•Ensure Athlete Database is created and connected through to USA Football's main database and membership profiles to maximize engagement and value•Align with Events Department to ensure strong collaboration for execution of USA Football events using programming from the Sport Development department•Leads strategic planning for division, including leadership reporting, milestone development/timing, and budgeting•Along with Head of Sport Growth & Development, Research, Growth and Accounting, brainstorm, create and validate new product ideas and oversee development•Creates alignment within team, ensuring proper allocation of resource availability for critical projects to ensure satisfactory completion within deadlines•Where necessary, act as a subject matter expert for educational content or with prospects, officials, parents, coaches and scouts - this can mean being the voice of the program and creating content with the team•Build relationships with other departments to build timelines and develop new ideas for projects•Identify content creators, coaches and subject matter experts and identify ways to build opportunities for collaboration and support of our education and training programs•Works with sponsorships, high performance, events, HR, compliance and governance functions to create descriptions for contractors and other roles related to the Sport Development department and its needs•As necessary, act as the final decision maker on Development Program Coaches, Subject Matter Experts and Officials taking part in our programming•Work with team to develop content cadence and timing plan over multiple years to ensure USA Football remains best-in-class in grassroots football and competitive flag development•Collaborate with Sport Growth, Research, Brand and Marketing teams to maintain, measure and enhance the view of USA Football in our constituents eyesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, etc. The pay range for this position is as follows: $95,608 - $162,792.This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
