DescriptionAs the Senior Director, Strategic Analytics, you will be Edge Division's omnichannel audience lead for enterprise business, responsible for driving fundraising performance for our clients. You will work across all fundraising channels to develop reporting, analysis, insights, and tools to support our internal and external teams. You will play a pivotal role in collaboration with our strategy and data teams, serving as a hands-on technical and subject-matter expert responsible for ensuring development and maintenance are in line with the agency's overall goals.   • Work with the VP and SVP to assume responsibility for supporting the agency's goals and our clients' programs.
  • Partner with the Strategy team to provide timely, valuable, accurate tools to ensure they can develop and deliver on clients' road maps and growth goals.
  • Interface with other divisions within Moore and their clients as neded.
  • Interface with client leadership and analytical partners on advanced analytical needs to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide standard, ad hoc, and custom reporting to agency clients and teams.
  • Works with internal and external partners to review and understand newly available client data sets of all types, mapping them appropriately into our CXM database.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure they have tools and reports that meet their needs.
  • As requested, present, and explain complicated concepts and results to non-technical internal and external audiences.
  • Analyze datasets through the use of PowerBI, MS Excel, SQL, and other tools and languages as required.
  • Serve as an internal resource for technical and substantive training and questions.
  • Identify areas for innovation or process improvement; perform independent research; develop innovative approaches, processes, or code.
  • Stay abreast of nonprofit industry trends and research, including ways to leverage AI and predictive modeling to improve performance, and develop and present these opportunities to internal and external teams.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting process.
Your Profile:
  • 10+ years of experience as a marketing/data analyst with a non-profit organization or an agency that provides direct marketing services to non-profit organizations.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization in MS Excel, reporting platforms that sit atop multiple database and non-database sources (such as Power BI).
  • Extensive experience in data manipulation and analysis using SQL variants.
  • Work comfortably with CRMs used in nonprofit fundraising, such as Aegis, DMI, Blackbaud CRM, Salesforce, and Raiser's Edge.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects for a small team.
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, marketing, economics, management information systems, or related field preferred (or additional work experience sufficient to satisfy the education requirement). Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience executing analytic tasks (including but not limited to data mining, segmentation, randomized test/experiment design, forecasting, data visualization, etc.) and creating meaningful outputs.
  • Experience with direct marketing and attribution across multiple channels, including but not limited to direct mail, website, digital advertising, email, and direct response TV.
  • Fundamental understanding of relational database design and reporting systems.
  • Familiarity with fundraising metrics, file segmentation techniques and direct marketing strategy.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis methods and concepts like randomized controlled trials, hypothesis testing, summary statistics, regression, and other explanatory and predictive modeling frameworks.
  • Familiarity with APIs and experience accessing and processing remote data.
  • Exceptional and persuasive written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with staff and senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a creative and resourceful problem solver; able to balance tension between partner expectations and organizational capabilities, strategies, and results, while maintaining high ethical standards.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgement; is willing and able to make well-thought out yet timely decisions; able to explain and support those decisions; seeks advice from others and includes appropriate personnel in decision-making process.
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to think strategically and execute efficiently and effectively. Ability to advance short- and long-term projects concurrently.
