Dec. 5 - 8, 2024 Overview Intersport is an award-winning agency that fills the empty space between marketing campaigns and consumers - helping brands make more meaningful connections. Our industry-leading team includes 200+ team members supporting 50+ clients with services spanning content production, experiential and event marketing, hospitality, partnership consulting, creative, social and digital marketing, and platform development. We also own and operate event properties across the professional and collegiate sports landscape, focused on sports including basketball, football, golf, pickleball, and volleyball. New CRO : Intersport just hired Ben Milsom, formerly C-level executive at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to be their new Chief Revenue Officer. He, in turn, hired Chad Collard, formerly with IMG Academy and the Tampa Bay Rays. Responsibilities The Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships (SD) will be responsible for selling sponsorships across Intersport's portfolio of owned-and-operated live sports properties, with an immediate and exclusive focus on the World Champions Cup (WCC). The WCC is a first-of-its kind international professional team championship in which three teams comprised of the legends of golf USA, Team Europe, and Team World, will compete with global bragging rights on the line. Having debuted in December, 2023, the annual three-team match play competition will be held at The Concession Golf Club, located in the Bradenton, FL, in December, 2024. The ideal candidate will have had proven success in identifying, selling and closing sponsorship and/or media sales, relationships with key clients nationally, and locally and the ability to create new relationships among buyers. The selected candidate must possess a consultative selling approach and be able to detail success in having sold high five- to seven-figure annual fee sponsorship agreements. Reporting to Intersport's Chief Revenue Officer, the SD will function as the lead, day-to-day sales execution of the WCC. As such, the SD must be an existing member of, or otherwise relocate to, the Tampa, FL area marketplace to function as a key leader of this property. Responsibilities Business Development
  • Provide expertise in assigned property/properties, inclusive of comprehensive and detailed knowledge of a wide breadth of integrated rights and benefits (i.e. assets) and be able to conceptualize and sell-in creative activation concepts that meet the business and brand objectives of partners and prospective partners
  • Prospect, pitch, and close high five- and seven-figure annual fee sponsorship and media agreements with clients and agencies, nationally
  • Provide high-level, peer-to-peer executive level client engagement among signed partners
Team Management
  • Work collaboratively with all members of integrated team
  • Manage, train, and mentor junior-level staff in sales support and partner servicing roles

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of eight (8) years' full-time experience in large sponsorship and/or media sales
  • Strong understanding of the sales process with a passion for pitching and closing new business
  • Ability to detail a history of having sold numerous six- and seven-figure sponsorship and/or media sales agreements
  • Current key relationships with sponsorship and/or media buyers at clients and agencies nationally
  • Ability to develop new relationships with sponsorship and/or media buyers
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills with high-level presentation ability
  • Flexibility to work both independently and collaboratively in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Knowledge of and passion for golf is a plus
