Job Description Summary
Enterprise co-founded Power Forward Communities (PFC), a landmark coalition with some of the country's most trusted community development, climate, and housing organizations. It is purpose-built to decarbonize America's homes and drive a market transformation that cuts costs, benefits renters and homeowners, and focuses on low-income communities nationwide. The EPA has awarded the coalition a $2 billion National Clean Investment Fund (NCIF) grant. Together with our coalition partners - Rewiring America, Habitat for Humanity International, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and United Way Worldwide - Enterprise will use this award to deploy a powerful combination of financing, market building, and community engagement to create healthier, safer, and more affordable homes.
The National Clean Investment Fund (NCIF), part of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), represents one of the most profound public investments in climate resilience in our nation's history. With this award, Enterprise has been entrusted to help turn the nation's most critical climate legislation into transformational housing legislation by ensuring hundreds of thousands of affordable homes are built or preserved.
The Senior Director, sitting in Enterprise's Office of the CEO, is a key role responsible for the stand-up and day-to-day execution of Enterprise's subaward of 600M. They will be responsible for overseeing project planning, implementation and strategic coordination across all Enterprise divisions executing the plan, including Green Lending and Building Resilient Futures teams in close concert with market offices and shared service departments. They will also work closely within the PFC coalition, representing Enterprise with PFC staff and our coalition partner organizations.
The successful candidate will be a highly organized, creative and effective leader eager to support their Enterprise colleagues, PFC coalition members and external partners in preparing for a changing climate. They will be skilled at balancing strategic vision with practical execution, as Enterprise and the coalition are just getting started in this space.
Job Description
* Lead the planning and management process for effectively administering Enterprise's NCIF subaward
* Develop and maintain a cross-discipline work plan, outlining necessary business requirements, implementation plans and reporting
* Cultivate a supportive, innovative and organized work environment for Enterprisers across divisions and departments to come together to drive implementation and ensure alignment across mission impacts and other goals. Keep teams excited and engaged on implementation and the expanded opportunity for Enterprise to lead in the green affordable housing space
* Lead systems for operational oversight and regular coordinating including info hubs, regular internal meetings and workstreams for planning and sharing out on progress
* Stay on top of allocation and expense management, product alignment and deployment, reporting and compliance management, and other areas of operational oversight, looking for opportunities for efficiency by leveraging existing Enterprise and PFC resources
* Serve as the primary liaison for GGRF for Enterprise team members, especially those involved in grant related activities, for coordination, thought partnership and reporting. As examples, the Senior Director will work with:
* Green Lending and Building Resilient Futures teams to establish and implement operating standards for market-facing activities and get our strategy up and running in communities
* Resource Development, Marketing and Communications teams to coordinate private capital and philanthropic fundraising, develop outreach strategies and refine external communications on our impact
* Policy team to align on strategies for government relations, state and local needs and other federal requirements
* Data Analytics and Reporting, Impact and Evaluation and Operations Management to ensure compliance with required EPA and PFC reporting and to evaluate the progress of our strategy as the project progresses to develop new learnings and address areas for improvement for Enterprise
* Shared Services Departments, including Finance, Human Resource and Legal, to ensure compliance for grant activities, contracts and personnel items
* Enterprise Green Accelerator Board in executing the necessary investments approvals and other governance activities
* CEO, Chief of Staff and Operating Committee (the executive team) to support overall strategic vision and planning for IRA and climate related work and business opportunities at Enterprise
* Drive and develop communications to keep various audiences apprised on Enterprise's planning and progress with the grant, including presentations and written updates for Enterprise Boards, team or all-staff convenings and external events (e.g., GGRF awardees, Climate Week, philanthropies and other community-based convenings)
* Serve as the primary liaison for Enterprise with Power Forward Communities and its coalition members for requests, coordination and solutioning
* Engage on various coalition-level workstreams alongside Enterprise colleagues, such as Community Engagement, Operations, Multifamily Lending and Technical Assistance, Philanthropy and all local place-based planning efforts
* Manage Enterprise's OKR (Objectives and Key Results) tracking with PFC through the period of performance, ensuring that internal team members are able to track towards set goals and driving an escalation process to solve any challenges
* Collaborate with the CEO and Chief of Staff to calibrate strategies and priorities as needed, including the development of Enterprise's strategic plan
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will bring a range of experience and attributes to Enterprise:
* 10 years of experience in project or program management
* Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and social justice
* Proven project management and organizational skills, particularly managing teams or organization-wide efforts that cut across and require collaboration from interdisciplinary teams and ability to create and manage overall work plans and reporting templates
* Strong interpersonal relationship management and leadership skills, and experience in developing a team-focused, collaborative culture for problem solving
* Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with particular attention to adapting communication styles and messaging for different audiences
* Ability to track day to day activities while tackling big picture challenges
* Familiarity and interest in affordable housing, community development, building decarbonization, energy efficiency, climate resilience, and/or healthy housing

The base salary for this role is $156,000 to $165,000, depending on level of skills and experience.
The salary range for this position is represented by the low and high end of the range for the amount to be paid for the position. Salaries paid at Enterprise will vary based on factors that may include skills, education, location, experience, and performance. The salary range is just a part of the total rewards package provided to employees at Enterprise, and other rewards may include annual performance bonuses and generous paid leave programs.
