The Role

The Veeva Compass Strategy team is looking for a skilled Strategist that brings entrepreneurial energy, passion for client engagement, and deep knowledge/recent experience of the projected data space within the biopharma and biotech market. As the Strategy lead for Compass Prescriber and Compass National, both recently launched in January 2024, you will be the CEO for these projected data products and responsible for commercial success in the market.

You will be responsible for developing and iterating a go-to-market plan and working closely with the Compass Account Partners and Compass Solution Consulting teams to implement and adjust individual customer accounts. You will act as a subject-matter expert in customer conversation. This is an important role for the future success of the Compass business, and you will be expected to make a significant contribution to the commercial success of our projected data products.

What You'll Do
  • Identify and engage with customers as SME on Compass Prescriber and Compass National. You will be expected to communicate our value proposition clearly, handle objections, and discuss how Compass Prescriber and Compass National can be used to support customer use cases (e.g., segmentation and targeting, incentive compensation, forecasting, territory design, etc.)
  • Drive execution of the commercial strategy for Veeva Compass Prescriber and Compass National including mapping out key targets, developing product messaging and positioning, and partnering with Compass Account Partners and Compass Solution Consulting teams to map stakeholders and strategy for engaging, and leading customer meetings
  • Provide input to the Compass Prescriber and Compass National product team in support of new features and capabilities, including new areas of product growth, based on a deep understanding of business challenges and market dynamics in the space
  • Work with our sales and marketing teams to ensure relevant marketing messaging, product positioning, and the success of our sales organization as it scales
Requirements
  • 15+ years of work experience in a professional services organization with a focus on consulting, analytics, or commercial services
  • Deep experience within life sciences, working with commercial teams, and expertise with omnichannel and customer engagement programs
  • Deep subject matter expertise of pharmaceutical commercial projected data sets (e.g., Xponent, PrescriberSource, DDD, NonRetailSource) and how these are leveraged to support the commercial function within a biopharma and biotech organization
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully engage all levels of client organizations
  • Experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product, pre-sales, etc.)
  • Strong track record listening for and translating customer needs into product innovation and solutions
  • Ability to travel for customer meetings and internal events, when permitted
  • Displayed excellent critical thinking, analysis, and presentation skills

Compensation
  • Base pay: $125,000 - $300,000
  • The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
