As the Senior Director of Supplier Quality, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our supply chain including supplier quality development, establishing quality management systems and benchmarks, and work with corporate quality team to drive for continuous improvement to meet our customers' quality standards. This role reports directly to the Chief Procurement Officer & VP External Manufacturing and leads a team of ~30 employees globally.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will get to:
Demonstrate Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute the global supplier quality strategy aligned with the company's overall quality objectives.
- Promote engagement with business units, manufacturing, and quality management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive end to end total quality management and continuous improvement in supplier quality processes.
- Lead and drive the organization using widely accepted quality techniques such as the 8D problem solving, 5 Whys, Kaizen events, SPC, Maverick, DPAT, SPAT.
- Work with CPO to revamp, develop and lead a strong SQE organization
- Establish and maintain an effective supplier performance data management system with inputs from supplier quality performance, as well as on site quality system evaluations.
- Establish supplier quality goals, KPIs, reporting metrics and dashboards
- Partner with critical suppliers to ensure that effective process controls are in place and maintained for high-risk failure modes.
- Lead supplier audits and assessments.
- Execute fast, effective containment
Lead Supplier Quality Management:
- Collaborate with Sourcing Leaders in supplier evaluation, performance monitoring and risk assessments/ management
- Ensures successful new product introduction and production ramp with suppliers especially for new technologies/ process/ materials
- Create and develop strong relationships with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement and quality roadmap
- Establish and maintain an effective supplier performance data management system with inputs from supplier quality performance, as well as on site quality system evaluations.
- Establish supplier quality goals, KPIs, reporting metrics and dashboards
- Partner with critical suppliers to ensure that effective process controls are in place and maintained for high-risk failure modes.
- Lead supplier audits and assessments.
- Execute fast, effective containment.
Ensure Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with ISO and automotive standards
- Address corrective actions resulting from internal and external audits.
- Provide and Execute fast, effective containment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field
- Minimum 15 years of experience in supplier quality management in semiconductor industry.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and operations
- Experience in product quality and reliability, customer quality, product/ process development, engineering, FA and automotive market preferred
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor device & package fail mechanisms/symptoms
- Strong technical problem solving and hands-on skills in quality tools and methodologies
- Good influence and negotiation skills to respond to difficult news and situations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel internationally 25%.
