Position Description:
Our client is looking for Senior Director Supply Chain Operations candidates for a hybrid position located in Birmingham, AL. The Senior Director is responsible for leading Enterprise Sourcing operations, overseeing a $1 billion spend portfolio. This position involves evaluating opportunities, developing and executing sourcing strategies, collaborating with the client's Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) partner, and driving cost savings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in strategic negotiations, team leadership, and managing complex procurement projects.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to the Enterprise Sourcing team, promoting performance excellence and professional development. Create a results-driven environment focused on achieving goals.
Sourcing Strategy: Conduct thorough opportunity assessments, design effective sourcing strategies, and negotiate contracts for clients and GPO agreements. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement sourcing programs that align with strategic objectives. Oversee RFP processes, evaluate proposals, manage supplier categories, and build strategic relationships to support sourcing initiatives.
Spend Management: Manage an annual spend portfolio of $1 billion, negotiating competitive contracts and identifying emerging needs based on spending trends. Ensure existing contracts remain aligned with market standards.
Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, using performance scorecards and risk assessments to drive cost-effectiveness and performance excellence. Implement corrective action plans for any performance issues.
Operational Excellence: Develop streamlined procedures for contract administration, address operational weaknesses, and implement improvements that enhance financial control and customer satisfaction.
Data Analysis: Analyze category-specific data to assess sourcing effectiveness and compliance. Report on cost savings and operational improvements regularly.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including facilities, physicians, and management, to plan, prioritize, and execute sourcing initiatives that support organizational goals, improve operational efficiency, and generate cost savings.
Value Proposition: Effectively communicate and advocate for the value of sourcing strategies, navigating complex stakeholder environments to ensure successful execution.
