Senior Director, US Co-brand Product Strategy

***This role is based at our corporate office in McLean, VA***

Our US Co-brand Product Team increases Hilton's customer growth through strategically designed partnerships and campaigns and builds awareness for our industryaward-winning Hilton Honors loyalty program. The team is focused on growing customer acquisition and growing customer spend engagement and retention through Hilton direct channels such as the Hilton Honors mobile app, website, Email, Direct Mail, HGV, and Hilton reservation agents.

What will I be doing?

As the Head of US Co-brand Product Strategy, you will influence and lead a collaborative, mutually beneficial partnership with American Express. You will manage the efforts to grow the strategic partnership for both companies with a view to long-term value and managing the Hilton US Co-brand P&L. You will report to the VP of US Co-brand & Global Amex Partnerships.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Monitor the competitive landscape and provide customer insights to guide product development.
  • Analyze the performance of each card product and offer, identifying new opportunities to improve and enhance.
  • Drive advocacy for co-brand strategic objectives and garner support across the Hilton enterprise, including working with leadership across Technology, Finance, Hotel Operations, and Brand.
  • How you will collaborate with others:

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders internally and within American Express to collaboratively plan for and deliver the short, medium, and long-term success of the relationship for both organizations.
  • As part of the US Co-brand Leadership team, nurture a test-and-learn culture to deliver performance while realizing exponential and groundbreaking opportunities, and developing a team.
  • What initiatives you will take ownership of:

  • Oversee & prioritize the strategic investments and resource allocation to guide exponential, profitable growth in the short and the long term, including investments in product design, value proposition, existing channel optimization, and new channels.
  • Lead efforts to define and drive product roadmap & innovation across both consumer and business card, including customer segmentation, product targeting & product offer mix, and consideration for entering in new channels and/or markets.
  • What are we looking for?

    Success will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Understanding of credit card landscape, regulatory environment and industry norms, value prop development, card acquisition, card member servicing, early tenure card member engagement, card member retention, and card member value.
  • Expertise in building and leading a business (P&L) in a large global and matrixed organization.
  • Expertise in leading and motivating a team.
  • Strategic eye for business with the ability to use market intelligence to find opportunities and improve performance.
  • Positive relationship and business development experience.
  • To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Fifteen (15) years of professional experience
  • Seven (7) years of management experience leading teams
  • Five (5) years of credit card, co-brand, or loyalty leadership experience
  • Experience leading/managing large enterprise-level partnerships
  • Experience working across customer channels, including website, mobile apps, email, and call centers
  • Up to 30% of travel
  • It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • MBA
  • Ten (10) years of hospitality, financial services, travel, or similar industry experience
  • P&L ownership is highly preferred
  • Financial Services or Credit Card senior leadership roles
