The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the losing date of this announcement.
BASIC REQUIREMENT: Degree: economics, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus.
IOR BASIC REQUIREMENTS: You must have a Bachelor's or higher degree in economics from an accredited college or university, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus OR A combination of education and experience. The education must include courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
AND
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to meeting the basic requirements, you must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Application of methods and techniques utilizing economic factors related to transfer pricing and transfers of tangible and intangible property, high value services, risk allocation and transfer pricing of foreign controlled corporations; and Development and analysis of transfer pricing factual information to recognize and evaluate significant and critical factors, solve complex problems, conduct comparability analyses, draw rational economic conclusions, prepare comprehensive reports; and an In-depth knowledge of the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code Sec. 482 sufficient to interpret data secured from tax returns and to understand sections applicable to assigned cases; and Expertise in written and oral communications to explain and defend transfer pricing related research findings, hold conferences with taxpayers and their representatives and maintain professional relationship and serves where necessary as a qualified witness for the government in litigation cases.

A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
