Job Description:
Immediate need for an Electrical Engineer with a minimum of seven to ten years of experience preparing design of Electrical, Fire Alarm and Low Voltage systems from inception to complete construction documents.
Responsibilities:
- Design Electrical Lighting, Wiring, Power distribution systems, Fire Alarm, and Low Voltage systems
- Low Voltage includes Communications, Audio/Visual and Security systems.
- Design from inception to complete construction documents
- Complete all phases of design from schematics through construction administration.
- Meet with clients to develop scope of project.
- Develop project specifications.
- Knowledge of NYC filing requirements and procedures
- Review of submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
- Visit site to verify construction is according to drawings
Qualifications:
- 7-10 + years of similar Engineering experience with MEP firms
- Proven experience designing Electrical systems in an MEP or A/E firm.
- Experience with communication systems design
- Knowledge of Building and Energy codes, NEC, NFPA requirements
- Strong computer, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP skills
- PE license or LEED cert is a plus but not required.
- Eexcellent communication and writing skills.
- MUST be willing to work in-office
- MUST be eligible to work in the US.

- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering
