Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineers to join our team to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Controls Engineering:
- Applies knowledge of NEC, UL, NFPA, CSA and CE standards to control system panel designs.
- Writes operating descriptions and related documentation for control and automation portion of systems.
- Writes PLC and HMI programs for water treatment systems utilizing Rockwell / Allen Bradley and Siemens products.
- Configures automation networks, including Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Profibus, Profinet and Modbus.
- Conducts Factory Acceptance Testing and configuration of control and automation systems.
- Field site acceptance testing, may travel to site for system integration.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment related to electrical design or programming.
- Analyze system requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
Project Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement engineering solutions.
- Program and troubleshoot control systems, PLCs, and automation software.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related interactions with customers.
- Manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with project methodologies and deliverables.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients.
- Document processes, specifications, and procedures related to engineering projects.
Training and Mentorship:
- Mentors and trains junior multi-disciplinary engineers.
- Oversees junior engineers assigned to projects.
Customer Relations:
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Address customer needs through effective problem-solving and technical solutions.
- Prepare proposal estimates and provide input during sales meetings.
Innovation and Support:
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends and contribute ideas for new products.
- Collaborate in R&D initiatives and assist in market research.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years experience in controls engineering, automation, electrical engineering, or other relevant programming is preferred. (i.e. ladder logic, FBD, visual basic, SQL, or other structured text scripting environment)
- Experience in panel design and controls system engineering is strongly preferred, as well as experience in the water or food industry.
- Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
- Familiarity with standards such as NEC, UL, NFPA, IEEE, CSA, and CE.
- Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming, particularly with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley or Siemens products.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively in a dynamic environment.

Additional Information:
- Travel is estimated to be less than 25%.
- P.E. license is not required but is considered a valuable credential.
