THE JOB: The Senior Electrical Engineer leads the development and overall architecture of electro-mechanical systems, providing technical direction and guidance to the Electrical and Software Engineering teams. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of innovative, high-quality products that meet regulatory and market requirements while driving engineering excellence and fostering team development.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Defines and leads the overall electrical system architecture, ensuring alignment with company goals and product requirements
  • Provides technical guidance and strategic direction to the electrical and software engineering team, fostering collaboration and innovation
  • Oversees electro-mechanical and software development projects from initiation through testing and delivery
  • Analyzes requirements and resources to assess feasibility, develops detailed project plans, and establishes milestones and deliverables
  • Monitors progress, addresses deviations, and implements corrective actions to meet deadlines and budget constraints
  • Collaborates with R&D, marketing, and other stakeholders to translate marketing requirements into actionable engineering specifications
  • Works with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure seamless product integration and lifecycle support
  • Partners with intellectual property professionals to identify and protect innovations
  • Ensures all designs meet domestic and international regulatory standards, maintaining compliance throughout the product lifecycle
  • Develops and enforces engineering policies, standards, and procedures
  • Mentors and develops junior engineers, fostering a culture of growth and learning within the team
  • Promotes the adoption of cutting-edge tools, technologies, and methodologies
  • Manages relationships with third-party partners, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project goals
  • Ability to explore new technologies, methodologies, and approaches to improve existing products and develop innovative educational solutions
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and technological advancements, integrating best practices into the team's workflows
  • Drives updates and improvements to products based on performance feedback and evolving needs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or relevant technical field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in leading electro-mechanical projects, preferably in a leadership capacity
  • Experience with electrical system and circuit board design
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools for project management and development
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Supervisory/leadership experience leading people
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Familiarity with testing and documentation of consumer product regulatory requirements
