Overview:
Eikon-X is currently assisting several MEP firms in Austin, Houston and the DFW area. The firms in question are seeking licensed Electrical Engineers with MEP experience & exposure in commercial & institutional building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical design for various MEP projects, including commercial, healthcare, education, sports, industrial, and institutional facilities. Clients include prominent universities like University of Texas, Texas A&M and others.
- Develop detailed electrical engineering designs, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and other building systems.
- Prepare and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and load calculations.
- Ensure designs meet all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Manage and oversee multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, civil engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Review and approve electrical designs, shop drawings, and submittals.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for the creation of detailed electrical drawings and 3D models.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
- Engage with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical solutions, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Prepare and present technical reports, project proposals, and bid documents.
- Attend client meetings and provide expert advice on electrical systems and design strategies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Seeking licensed EE's from associate to senior & principal level
- Licensure: PE, EIT, P.ENG
- MEP or construction project experience
