Job Description:
As a Sr. Electrical Engineer at Astrodyne TDI, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge power conversion products from conception through to execution. You will work closely with both customers and our internal teams to ensure that all products meet stringent performance, cost, and schedule targets.Key Responsibilities:* Design and develop advanced power conversion systems and products.* Create detailed electrical circuit schematic diagrams and part lists.* Conduct component stress analyses and compute Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF).* Lead debug testing and design verification testing of prototypes.* Collaborate on the mechanical design aspects of products.* Oversee product reliability assurance testing.* Manage the creation and maintenance of essential engineering documentation.* Work closely with the New Product Introduction team to ensure smooth project transfers and testing phases.* Provide technical support to the sales team during the bidding process and interact with marketing on new product development.* Deliver technical presentations to management and technical staff.* Mentor and train junior members of the engineering team.Qualifications:* A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.* At least five years of experience in development activities focused on electronic power conversion products, including a proven track record with switch-mode power supply designs.* Proficiency in design tools such as PSpice and Mathcad.* Experience in resolving EMC issues and, preferably, in high-frequency magnetic component design and microcontroller circuits for power electronics.Preferred Skills:* Agency compliance experience (UL, CSA, VDE, CE).* Experience with battery management and charging systems.* Strong leadership capabilities to drive project tasks and ensure timely execution.* Excellent communication and writing skills.Join us and be part of a team that pushes the boundaries of technology to create robust solutions that advance industry standards.
