Job Summary: The Senior Designer is expected to manage certain Administrative, Technical, Communication, and Career Development responsibilities. He or she will be directly responsible to the Project Manager and Lead Engineer for the successful execution of the project. Responsibilities may include work on multiple projects of all sizes, simultaneously. An Instrumentation & Control Senior Designer could also function as the Lead Engineer.
Job Responsibilities: - General knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control.
- Access and implement standards within design scope whether company's or client's
- Ability to read and develop control system scope of work documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD.
- Implement various process control system architectures.
- Coordinate I&C design with design team and Lead Engineer.
- Specify and select control system hardware.
- Perform remote site field installation, checkout, testing, and customer service including interfacing with customer.
- Ability to analyze unique situations and develop appropriate response.
- Develop and deliver quality control packages consistent with project scope.
- Technically accurate per I&C standards, client standards, codes, and regulations.
- Inter-Discipline Coordination by being proactive in identifying inter-discipline needs and coordinate with your counterparts from other disciplines.
- Project Scope of Work, Budget, and Schedule by executing project per contracted scope of work and the Project Execution Manual.
- Change Management by identifying scope changes, initiate a Change Management Form (CMF), and input the scope and budget for your discipline.
Experience & Education: - 6+ years' experience required
- Two-year degree in Engineering or related field
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio; Hybrid or remote.
Travel: Up to 30% visiting client facilities.
