Title: Senior Project Manager - Electrical - Traveling Location: Des Moines, Iowa (1st Travel Location) Position Overview: BNW Services is seeking a Traveling Senior Electrical Project Manager to oversee data center construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive electrical experience and be responsible for profitably managing all administrative and field construction activities to meet quality standards. This role involves maintaining relationships with all stakeholders on assigned projects and overseeing multiple medium-sized projects, a single large-sized project, or an assigned scope on a large, complex project. Key Responsibilities: - Assist and/or prepare project schedules; maintain project schedules, identify and address long lead items, and update project plans as required. - Negotiate and execute change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders. - Assist and/or complete monthly project status reports, owner billings, and financial risk assessments. - Identify and recommend value engineering and scope reduction opportunities. - Ensure the project safety plan is completed and communicated to the project team and subcontractors. - Assist with pre construction efforts. - Manage the buy-out process. - Detect constructability issues with project design. - Understand contract terms, budgets, insurances, bonds, and change orders; ensure adherence, including work progress being within scope. - Recommend staff development needs, disciplinary actions, job assignments, and promotions. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Education: Industry-related college degree required; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. - Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of construction project management experience required. LEAN principles experience and the ability to apply these principles is desirable. OSHA 30 preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire. Data center experience preferred. Experience in managing E&I self-perform work preferred. Electrical experience is required. - Skills:Business acumen, judgment, communication, solid leadership, client relations, negotiation, project management, solid construction knowledge, decision-making, conflict resolution, tact, adaptability, and analytical abilities are necessary. - Technology: Experience with or the ability to learn specific project management and scheduling software (e.g., JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, Asta) required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Training will be provided on company standards.
