These activities may include proposal development, marketing, developing scopes of work and schedules, providing technical experience in the development of client deliverables, negotiating with regulatory agencies, managing subcontractors, contracts, schedules, and budgets.The Senior Engineer will work within an integrated team within our region's Remediation & Environmental Engineering group and support our national Civil Construction group in the Environmental Services Global Practice (division) to perform the following duties:Performing task and project management responsibilities for Coal Combustion Residual (CCR), solid waste, manufacturing, and other civil/environmental engineering projects.Managing accuracy, budgets, quality, safety, reporting, schedule and client expectations.Act as a technical resource for civil/environmental engineering projects.Lead multidiscipline engineering design teams for civil/environmental related projects.Design of stormwater management facilities and features.Client and business development and networking.Assisting with and leading proposal and cost estimating efforts for civil and environmental engineering projects.Regularly interface with various agencies, clients and team members.Mentoring and generally working closely with junior level environmental staff.Assist with recruiting, development, and training of staff.Other duties, as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil, environmental or related engineering program from an accredited program.Minimum of 7 years of related professional experience. Prefer 15 years of experience with civil and environmental related engineering projects for a variety of clientele including electrical utility, solid waste, manufacturing, mining, and municipal. Prefer 8-yrs experience managing CCR related projects for power generation clients.PE LicenseExperience with project management, environmental regulation, and agency coordination (EPA, state agencies, etc.) is preferred.Experience executing civil/environmental engineering methods and practices in the preparation of bid-ready engineering designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports.Experience directing and reviewing work products prepared by junior engineering staff.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information and work effectively with various audiences (including public officials, agency representatives, property owners, businesses, clients, construction contractors, etc.).Demonstrated knowledge of civil and environmental engineering methods, permitting process, and construction compliance.Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Valid driver's license required.
