We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Electrical Engineering Product Engineering Group. This is a full-time, direct hire position that is 100% on-site in a manufacturing facility in the Buffalo, NY area.
Description:
- Lead a team of 10-12 Electrical Engineering Product Engineers to design, develop, and manufacture space flight hardware that will survive the harsh environments of space.
- Assign programs and projects, monitoring that they are completed within technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
- Lead the development of strong engineering teams within the site that execute the business.
- Support the succession planning engineering talent.
- Work on assigned programs directly as a member of a program team in support of technical and programmatic goals.
- Identify and implement strategies that take advantage of synergies across multiple projects or programs. Look to improve the efficiency of the overall engineering approach.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the broader organization by providing input to the engineering strategy.
- Interface with customers in a professional and ethical manner in order to support staffing and technical needs of programs.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve engineering processes for the supported business so that the processes are effective in meeting the needs of the customers. Assist in the creating of new processes to support the business.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field. An Electrical Degree is required.
- A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in electrical engineering product design and development is required.
- Experience in Space and Avionics Manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance is required.
