Overview TRC is seeking a highly motivated senior level Environmental Engineer/ Geologist/ Scientist to join our growing Engineering, Construction and Remediation team in our Center City Philadelphia office. The position requires a strong technical background in environmental investigation and remediation and a solid track record of identifying, building and maintaining key client relationships. The successful candidate will provide planning, investigation, and strategic support for projects in Pennsylvania and New Jersey with a primary focus on Pennsylvania Act 2 Land Recycling Program, NPDES, and Act 394 Clean Streams Law programs. Experience with New Jersey Site Remediation Reform Act, Land Use Regulation Program, or NJPDES is also required. The candidate must be familiar with processes, procedures, regulations, etc. and will provide senior-level leadership, deliverable preparation support and review in connection with all related project phases (e.g., Remedial Investigation, Feasibility Study, Remedial Design, Remedial Action Reporting, etc.), as required. The successful candidate will have a broad network of industry contacts and will be expected to generate business and recruit and manage clients. The successful candidate will also be responsible for guiding and mentoring junior scientists/engineering staff in preparation of reports, interpreting regulations, and other facets of environmental consulting. Responsibilities Support management of medium-to-large, complex tasks to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality. Assist during proposal development including preparation of work scopes and budgets. Develop and track multiple project budgets, scopes and schedules for regulatory submittals and other consulting documents. Generate business, market to and recruit new clients, and manage work for those clients. Identify and develop new business opportunities, and deliver responsive, high-quality services. Interpret geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data from contaminated sites to evaluate and design/optimize soil and groundwater remediation systems, including developing strategy, rationale and cost estimates. Perform Quality Analysis/Quality Control of deliverables related to projects and tasks managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others, and are responsible for implementation of the firms' quality procedures at project and task levels. Assist in training and mentoring of junior engineers and scientists/geologists to facilitate growth. Write and review technical documents, reports and engineering designs, ensuring quality and consistent delivery of materials. Interface with and develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or chemical engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or environmental science. 20-30 years of environmental investigation, compliance or groundwater remediation consulting or design experience. Strong background in Pennsylvania Act 2 Land Recycling Program Demonstrated work experience in any of the following areas: environmental compliance, storm water design, SWPPP/SPCC preparation, soil and groundwater investigations, and design and implementation of in-situ remediation technologies. Working knowledge of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and federal environmental regulations (RCRA, OPA, NPDES, ISRA, PA Act 2, PA WQM, NCP, CERCLA/TRRP, etc.) Project management experience in budgeting, scheduling, procurement, coordination of teams of contractors, and client interactions. Technical project expertise in environmental investigations, remediation, and environmental compliance. Knowledge of New Jersey environmental site remediation regulations and technical guidance. Experience writing and reviewing technical documents, reports and engineering designs, ensuring quality and consistent delivery of materials OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, including current annual refresher Experience managing project tasks (field and office) and subcontractors. Ability to pass a company physical exam (indicating that there will be no restrictions for field activities or use of a full-face respirator). Valid driver's license without major violations. Preferred Qualifications: S., M.Eng., or PhD. Degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering or Pennsylvania Professional Geologist Experience managing and developing junior staff or project teams. Experience with large-scale database structures, procedures and management. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
