At LG, we strive to make Life Good for Everyone.Responsibilities* Monitor and analyze federal, state, and international environmental regulations, standards, and trends related to recycling and packaging.* Collaborate with global teams to implement and maintain compliance programs for recycling and packaging across different regions.* Represent LG Electronics (LGE) in industry associations and working groups, contributing to the development of industry standards and policies.* Participate in rulemaking processes with government agencies, industry associations.* Ensure accurate and timely reporting of required information to regulatory authorities.* Provide monthly updates to HQ on the implementation of recycling and packaging regulations, including government and industry activities.* Manage and respond to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions from government agencies.* Research and implement sustainable practices across product design, packaging, and end-of-life management to meet environmental goals.* Identify and contract with recycling companies across various states to meet mandated recycling collection targets.* Track the progress of recycling collection efforts and monitor the costs associated with recycling operations, reporting regularly to the North American CFO and finance department.Qualifications* BS degree in chemical engineering and/or Environmental policy related majors required; MS degree preferred* 5+ years' experience in related field* Organizational Skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional and fast-paced team* Must have strong communication, influencing and executional skills, and a desire to work in a complex and challenging fast- paced environment* MS Office (Excel and Powerpoint)Privacy Notice to California ApplicantsAt LG, we aspire to empower people and celebrate differences because we believe diversity will create the unexpected.
