KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our client is looking for an experience Senor Estimator for their Miamisburg, Ohio office. This role requires expertise in estimating for commercial, Educational, Life Sciences and Healthcare projects. As a senior estimator you will
- Drive the estimation process: review proposal requirements analyze risks, define scopes of work and establish estimate contents.
- Provide insights on self-perform trades to determine field manpower needs and resource availability.
- Bring Projects to Life: Develop conceptual self-perform hard bi, and GMP estimates for a diverse range of complex projects.
- Leverage Data for Accuracy: Use historical data subcontracts, and productivity analyses to produce detailed quantity takeoffs and an-hour based estimates.
- Facilitate Seamless Collaboration: Act as a critical resource in preconstruction by contributing to constructability reviews, schedule planning, value engineering and target value delivery efforts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
What the qualified candidate should bring to the table:
Four-year degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical training and experience
8 years or more experience in estimating projects up to $150 million in the commercial and institutional sectors
Project Expertise: Experience in self-perform, at-risk GC/CM environments is referred.
Knowledge in estimating various project types: any combination of the following- healthcare corporate offices retail, universities, parking garages, assisted living, data centers advanced manufacturing food & beverage manufacturing, and life sciences.
Technical Proficiency – strong understanding of estimating methods, engineering principles, and cost control systems.
