Estimator/Senior Estimator

Reporting to ReArch's President, the Estimating team is responsible for preparing budgets, pre-bid packages, and full-scope estimates based on Design-Build and/or Construction Manager construction documents. In this role, you'll work closely with general trades estimators and project management teams to develop schematics and construction document estimates, solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and scopes of work, issues notice of awards to subcontractors and suppliers, prepare quantity surveys, and review project plans and specifications for both large and small projects. Estimators critically analyze bid documents and liaise with management to communicate risks and opportunities. Regular travel throughout Vermont and New Hampshire is a requirement in order to attend project site pre-bid meetings, site tours and post-bid interviews.

We welcome applicants for the position of Estimator or Senior Estimator, allowing us to match the role with the right candidate's experience level. The starting pay for this position is $90,000-130,000/year, depending on experience.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of experience in preconstruction/estimating on commercial construction projects. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree program is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and work experience in construction estimating will be considered. Strong estimating, budgeting, negotiating, presentation and interpersonal skills are a must. Knowledge and experience with civil/site construction, foundation and structural systems, casework, doors, specialties, interior finishes, exterior building wall systems, mechanical and electrical systems, and sustainable and green building practices is desired.
