We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting our continued growth and success by providing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and contributing to the overall project strategy.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the estimation process for commercial construction projects, including the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop a comprehensive understanding of project scope and requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of project bids and evaluate proposals to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to assess project feasibility and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain cost databases and reference material for use in future estimating efforts.
  • Prepare detailed bid packages and participate in bid meetings with clients and contractors.
  • Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while maintaining high levels of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide support to the project team during the construction phase by offering cost-saving solutions and value engineering recommendations.
  • Review and update estimates as project details evolve during the design and construction process.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and company standards.

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, WinEst, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Experience managing multiple estimates and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • A proven ability to add value to cost-saving initiatives and deliver accurate, competitive bids.
