- Lead the estimating process for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in bids.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project costs and required resources.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather project-related information.
- Prepare detailed estimates, including labor, material, and overhead costs, for various projects.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions and assess project requirements before bidding.
- Review proposals and contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and train junior estimators in best practices and estimating techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on industrial, healthcare, or educational projects.
- Strong knowledge of preconstruction processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
