Your new roleThis General Contractor / Construction Manager is looking for a Senior Estimator out of their newly opened Westchester County office with their main responsibility to oversee the construction estimating division out of that Westchester office. This Senior Estimator will be responsible for the wider team along with workload management, ensuring process, procedure, and quality are upheld across every project and deadlines met. This individual would also be responsible for staffing, and performance management. You will be responsible for: Strategically plan and implement department and company initiatives.Estimate the most complex and large-scale jobs.Competent across conceptual estimates, negotiated bids, budgets, general conditions, systems studies and comparisons. Value engineering, subcontractor relations and staying up-to-date on industry developments applicable to construction and constructability. Business development activities, presentations, and interviews to win new work.What you'll need to succeedThe successful Senior Estimator / Lead Estimator will have a minimum of 12+ years of experience in Construction Estimating specifically within a GC|CM environment with experience across various contract types and budgets. In addition, the successful candidate will hold the following: Ideally hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an Architecture related field. Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite.Proficient in Estimating / Take-Off software: Timberline, PlanSwift or On-Screen Take-off.Project Management software Prolog or similarScheduling software Primavera or similarUnderstanding the influence of market conditions on pricing.What you'll get in returnOur client has a very competitive compensation and benefits package including an annual performance bonus, 100% covered medical, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, insurance.
