Position Summary
Senior Event Coordinator responsibilities are for every aspect of event planning from conception to post conference surveys. Including selecting venues, determining the cost, arranging event services, coordinating event logistics and managing the attendees needs.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and venues.
* Negotiate and secure event space and venues.
* Coordinate event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking.
* Creating and communicating pre and post-event evaluations.
* Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
* Research and book entertainment and or speakers.
* Work with design team to develop invitations and print materials.
* Develop communications for attendees.
* Select and order promotional materials.
* Order and keep inventory of banners and signage.
* Coordinate transportation and travel needs of the event.
* Calculating budgets and adhere to them.
* Addressing and managing potential problems that may arise.
* Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event.
* Maintaining a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events.

Required Education and Experience
* College Degree
* Five years' experience in event coordination with multi-day event planning experience
Physical Demands and Work Hours
* Light work, requiring exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
* 9:00am-5:00pm with an hour for lunch and flexibility depending on business needs. Travel required.
