About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Event Manager/Producer to lead and scale our flagship global events and support a growing network of franchise conferences and meetups worldwide. This role is for a seasoned professional who thrives in high-stakes environments and delivers flawless, memorable events with minimal oversight. You will own the entire event lifecycle, from concept to execution, ensuring the highest standard of production, innovation, and attendee experience. You operate with a high degree of agency and you thrive on executing effectively to achieve results.

This is primarily a remote role, with 5% on-site presence required during key events.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Event Management: Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of large-scale, global events, including AI Engineer Summit, AI Engineer World's Fair, and AI Engineer Europe.
  • Global Expansion: Drive the international growth of our event portfolio, ensuring consistent brand and quality standards across all locations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the founder and key stakeholders to align events with the company's mission, sales, and marketing objectives.
  • Budget & Logistics: Oversee budgets, timelines, and logistics to ensure seamless execution and an elevated attendee experience. Manage vendor negotiations, contracts, and relationships.
  • Field Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute event-driven marketing strategies to boost sales pipeline growth, sponsorship revenue, and brand visibility.
  • Speaker & Partner Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with industry leaders, sponsors, and speakers to secure top talent and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Event Technology & Trends: Stay current with industry innovations, trends, and technologies, incorporating these insights into event strategy for continuous improvement.
  • Post-event Analysis: Evaluate the success of each event using data-driven insights to recommend improvements and optimize future events.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in managing large-scale, high-profile corporate events, preferably within the tech industry.
  • Field Marketing Expertise: Proven ability to align event strategy with business objectives, including revenue and pipeline growth.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing event teams and external partners.
  • Budget & Project Management: Expertise in managing complex budgets and timelines, ensuring events are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging C-level executives, partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Event Technologies: Proficiency with event management platforms (e.g., Rainfocus, Tito) and other relevant tools.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of AI, enterprise software, or related fields is a plus.
  • On-site Event Management: Minimum 2 years of on-site experience managing large events and teams.
