Senior/Executive Director – Program Development Team Lead

Discover International are excited to be partnered with an Oncology focused biotech with a fist in class biologics pipeline targeting both solid and liquid tumors. Due to fantastic P1 results they are actively building their clinical development function.

Their highest priority hire at present is for a Program Development Team Lead (PDTL) to lead cross-functional Clinical Development teams for a P1 program as it transitions into late-stage development. The position will be responsible for development strategy, decisions and execution of trials and programs within the Haemato-Oncology space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute asset development plans, integrating data analysis, competitive landscape evaluation, and clinical study design.
  • Oversee clinical trial deliverables, including data review, regulatory documents, and study reports.
  • Address and resolve issues within the PDT, negotiating deliverables with function heads as needed.
  • Implement and manage clinical supplies strategy, budget, and project plans.
  • Support business development and out-licensing efforts.
  • Collaborate with Alliance partners to align global strategies and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Foster team effectiveness, guide PDT members, and ensure alignment with goals.

Qualifications:

  • PharmD, Ph.D., or Master's degree with 8-12 years in a leadership role within biotech or pharmaceuticals.
  • Proven experience leading clinical development programs and working in a matrix organization.
  • Strong problem-solving, project planning, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Expert knowledge of the drug development process, portfolio risk management, and commercialization requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
