The Opportunity

We now have 2 exciting opportunities available for Senior Field Operatives (Crew Leaders) to join our Networks team in Eagle Farm QLD, on a contract for 1 year. Note, there is a good possibility the contact will be extended or role becomes permanent.
Reporting directly to the Field Services Supervisor, you will be a senior member of the field work party responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance of gas distributions network assets and below ground pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond, classify and repair gas leaks as per APA Leak Management Plan to ensure compliance
* Perform and lead minor construction and alteration works including disconnection and reconnection of services to customer and the identification and remedy of safety hazards
* Be the responsible person at field repair or construction site within your control including the responsibilities of Site Safety Manager
* Assist with some preparation of on-site estimates for mains alterations, service alterations and reconnections
* Ensure Plant and equipment used is in good working order & make arrangements for repairs as necessary
About You
* Experience or skills in gas distribution construction and/or field maintenance activities
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the energy industry and utility infrastructure (gas, electricity, telecommunications, and/or water)
* APA accredited Leak Repair Crew Leader or ability to attain the competency requirements
* Must be prepared to work on a rotating standby roster offering 24 hour / day, 7 day / week support
* Construction Site Generic Induction (White Card)

Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
