We are looking for a highly organized Senior Field Service Coordinator for an industry-leading Industrial Machinery Manufacturer that serves the Food and Beverage Industry in the Greater Columbus, Ohio area. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in asset planning and managing service and site field service engineers across the USA and occasionally Europe. This position involves administrative tasks within internal departments and delegating tasks to the In-House Support Field Service Engineers (FSE) as needed. Additional responsibilities include managing site support which covers documentation, insurance, and access coordination.
Main Responsibilities of the Senior Field Service Coordinator:
- Plan and schedule resources, tools, and site support for various projects, including service, new delivery, and upgrades
- Coordinate emergency support activities and engineer visits, collaborating with Project Managers (PM), Key Account Managers (KAM), or FSE Managers as required.
- Conduct pre and post-project meetings for effective visualization and planning.
- Oversee internal department administration, offering site support to FSEs and backing up the Field Service office as needed.
- Organize safety training sessions and medical checkups.
- Maintain and enhance the CRM system's functionality and instructional content.
- Focus on resource and equipment planning.
- Analyze FSE time distribution.
- Serve as the custodian for instruments and tools, ensuring processes and instructions comply with ISO standards.
- Assist FSEs with travel documentation, vaccination requirements, and area security.
- Handle FSE planning and data collection responsibilities.
- Oversee 18-24 month forecasting, aligning with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP).
- Incorporate sustainability considerations into resource planning.
- Spearhead continuous improvement efforts, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations while mitigating risks.
- Collaborate with Regional Coordinators to achieve a global perspective on FSE allocation.
- Ensure adherence to or exceed local regulations.
Experience and Qualifications:
· Must be a US citizen
· 5-8 years' experience as a Field Service Coordinator/Lead
· Preference to candidates with experience in manufacturing facilities, hydraulics, high-pressure gas, and furnaces, large capital equipment,
· BS Degree preferred; Experience will override a degree
· Must be able to clear a background check and pre-employment drug screen
