Senior Finance Director, Advertising Systems & Revenue Insights The Senior Finance Director of Advertising Systems & Revenue Insights will serve as a critical member of both the Advertising and Finance leadership teams at Lee Enterprises. This individual will oversee the financial management of the Order Management System (OMS), ensuring proper product and rate structures, accurate general ledger coding, and GAAP-compliant revenue recognition. Additionally, this role will lead financial reporting from the OMS and maintain strong Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls. The position will also focus on optimizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to provide financial insights into future revenue generation. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in project management, system controls, and developing key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards. Position Responsibilities:• Oversight of Advertising Systems: Provide high level oversight of the Order Management System (OMS), ensuring alignment with financial goals and industry standards.• Product & Rate Structures: Play a leadership role in establishing and maintaining rate structures for advertising products, ensuring alignment with financial objectives. Provide insights and reporting to advertising leadership on exceptions to the approved rate structures, enabling informed decision-making and strategic adjustments.• Revenue Recognition: Oversee GAAP-compliant revenue recognition for all advertising products, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and audits.• General Ledger (GL) Management: Direct the general ledger coding for all advertising-related products, ensuring consistency and compliance with financial standards.• Financial Reporting: Provide leadership role in the creation of financial reports from the OMS, ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable data is available for both the Finance and Advertising teams.• Chart of Accounts: Oversee the development and implementation of a new Advertising Chart of Accounts, ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements while facilitating improved financial reporting and analysis.• Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance: Implement and maintain strong SOX controls, ensuring financial processes comply with regulatory requirements and mitigate risk.• CRM System Management: Represent the Finance department in the setup and management of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring it delivers financial insights to drive future revenue generation.• KPI Development & Analysis: Help develop and maintain advertising KPIs, with a focus on input metrics, to provide senior leadership with a clear understanding of past and projected performance.• Collaboration with Department Leads: Work closely with the finance and advertising department leads to ensure the OMS system is meeting the business and operational needs of both teams.• Project Management: Manage cross-functional projects related to system upgrades and new initiatives, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and objectives. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.• 10+ years of experience in finance or advertising, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Industry experience preferred, but not required.• Proficient in Order Management Systems (OMS), financial reporting tools, and general ledger management.• Understanding of GAAP revenue recognition and SOX compliance.• Proven experience in managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.• Strong analytical skills and expertise in developing KPI dashboards and performance metrics.• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.• Experience with CRM systems, financial software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
