POSITION DESCRIPTION

Responsible for preparation of the financial statements and other financial analyses.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Prepare and/or review monthly financial statements and account schedules for management and department review.
  • Prepare and/or review clinic financial statements and operations analyses for management.

  • Respond to physicians requests for collections, charges, incentive projections, and breakeven analysis.

  • Provide ad hoc analysis as requested by management utilizing various data sources and systems including Athena Analytics.

  • Manage FRx reporting system and write reports for the Finance department.

  • Review, design, and implement processes for the annual budgeting process.

  • Assist with annual audits and prepare schedules requested by auditors.

  • Adhere to financial procedures to ensure proper posting to the ledger according to current practice and GAAP.

  • Adheres to the workflow design established for the department and meets all job performance standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Ability to work under pressure and be able to analyze data
    • Report information
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills
    • The ability to work in a team environment with shared responsibilities is critical

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:
    • Certified Public Accountant - CPA or Master's Business Administration - MBA

  • Experience
    • Six or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field. Preferably in the Healthcare industry
