This role is essential for supporting our Culinary Division by managing its financial systems and leveraging data to drive informed decision-making. The successful candidate will have a blend of experience in the hospitality/dining industry and strong technical and analytical skills. They will ensure the smooth operation of culinary systems while providing key insights that contribute to the financial health of the division. Position Responsibilities
- System Management: Oversee and maintain all software and business systems related to dining services, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with CSHL's financial systems.
- Data Extraction and Analysis: Extract, analyze, and interpret data from culinary systems to assist in data-driven decision-making processes. Provide actionable insights to optimize financial performance.
- Financial Reporting: Collaborate with dining and other finance teams to develop and manage financial reports, including P&L statements for each service location.
- POS System Oversight: Fine-tune and maintain POS systems, including menu items, pricing, and Price Look Ups (PLUs), to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Budgeting Support: Assist in the development and adherence to annual budgets by providing detailed financial analysis and forecasting.
- Cost Management: Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure cost-effective purchasing of food and beverage products and support group purchasing initiatives.
- Training and Documentation: Develop and update training materials related to financial systems, ensuring staff are well-versed in system use and data interpretation.
- Scheduling Optimization: Work with culinary management to ensure efficient and productive staff scheduling based on demand forecasts.
- Project Management: Lead and participate in projects that enhance the financial systems and processes within the Culinary Division.
Position RequirementsEDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Five or more years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related role within the hospitality or dining industry.
SKILLS:
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems such as Oracle / Symphony / Micros, Microsoft office, and hospitality-related software (e.g. Caterease).
