Reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A, the position is responsible for conducting advanced financial analysis through complex models, enabling the optimization of revenue and cost recovery. The position includes leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of the company's financial planning processes while actively contributing to the company's financial strategy. The role will partner to provide support for long-term financial sustainability and enable informed decision-making to drive the organization's success.

Additionally, the position will assess risks, conduct market analysis, and ensure strict compliance with financial regulations. The role will collaborate with stakeholders to align financial performance with the overall objectives of the business while continuously improving processes and driving efficiencies.

What you will do for Fay:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's financial strategy, aligning financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Compare and analyze workout incentive fees against business production, reporting variances and findings.
  • Conduct in-depth research on revenue variances by client and identify root causes for these variances.
  • Prepare aged receivable reports, clearly displaying amounts due by client.
  • Partner with the Accounts Receivable team to strategize and improve collections.
  • Prepare and evaluate complex financial reports, providing insights and recommendations for revenue enhancement and cost recovery.
  • Develop and maintain intricate financial models that provide a basis for strategic financial planning and forecasting.
  • Utilize advanced financial modeling techniques to simulate various financial scenarios, enabling the company to make informed decisions about investments, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate on special projects as requested by leadership, which may include commercial servicing, fee logic, or support for Fay Affiliates.
  • Provide recommendations for optimizing revenue and minimizing costs to support long-term financial sustainability.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities. Provide data-driven insights to guide decision-making related to market expansion or diversification.
  • Effectively communicate financial findings, forecasts, and recommendations to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial initiatives and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Continuously assess and improve financial processes and reporting methods to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay up to date with financial regulations and industry standards and ensure that the company's financial practices are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for tracking financial performance and progress toward financial goals.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports for executive leadership review.
  • Develop domain knowledge of Fay's business to include an understanding of organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Fay's policies, processes, and practices. Attend and successfully complete all department and company-required training.
  • Role model Fay's Values, Operating Principles, ethical standards, professionalism, and code of conduct.

What you will bring to Fay:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or relevant certification, such as CFA, is preferred).
  • 5+ years' demonstrated experience with financial analysis.
  • 2+ years' experience in mortgage, servicing, or similar industry.
  • Knowledge of state-specific requirements.
  • Experience in Planful or similar FP&A Reporting software preferred.
  • Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
