The Senior Financial Analyst – Corporate Planning is responsible for developing and maintaining financial models and preparing ad hoc analyses at the request of the executive and senior management of the company. The Senior Analyst will also aid in preparing presentation materials for management and the Board of Directors to support long-term strategic planning and decision-making.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain technical and financial models and perform analyses that support strategic initiatives such as long-term planning, liquidity forecasting, and other initiatives as they arise.
  • Participate in financial due diligence, valuation analyses, and other strategic initiatives related to the business.
  • Assist in long-range planning, including financial forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Partner cross-functionally to gather data and support for key assumptions that aid the refining of long-range financial forecasts and enable better decision-making.
  • Gather information and prepare comprehensive financial reports and analyses for Board meetings and other ad hoc presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Corporate Planning Group, including reporting, analysis, and overall efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ad hoc analysis focusing on long-range planning.

Qualifications / Experience

  • BBA in finance or accounting.
  • Masters or CFA preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a business of similar size and complexity.
  • Experience modeling a company income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Corporate Planning, Investment Banking, or other similar experience.
  • Strong analytical, research, and financial modeling skills.
  • Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Energy industry experience preferred.
