Job Summary: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Mid- to Senior-Level Financial Analyst to join their growing finance team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, data analysis, and process improvement. This role will focus on optimizing financial operations and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial performance, conduct variance analyses, and identify trends to support business decisions. Develop and maintain dashboards for performance tracking.
  • Support budget creation and monthly forecasting processes, streamlining workflows and enhancing accuracy. Assist in long-term financial planning.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements within financial systems and reporting tools, aiming to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct cost analysis related to product lines, projects, and operations. Perform product mix and pricing mix analysis to optimize profitability.
  • Support the month-end closing process, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement review.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial data, ensuring accuracy in all reporting systems (ERP, forecasting, and reporting tools).
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, providing financial guidance and support for decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (CPA, CFA) is a plus - not required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting, preferably in a corporate environment. Prior experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is essential.
  • Industry: Retail, CPG, Manufacturing or similar.
  • Soft Skills: Team player, collaborative, passionate, and reliable!
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, macros) and hands-on ERP experience. The ideal candidate will be tech savvy and able to pick up systems quickly.
    • Proven ability to drive process improvements and work collaboratively across departments.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
