Our client is a leader in bakery manufacturing and ingredients distribution. They are partnering with us to identify a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in the Twin Cities area.
As an integrated member of the Finance Supply Chain team, the Senior Financial Analyst is a key business partner to the North America Supply Chain Functions supporting 20+ Distribution Centers, as well as Regional and Functional Supply Chain Leaders providing financial analytics, guidance, and insights on effective and efficient Supply Chain execution that are varied and complex in nature.
The ideal candidate will have experience with the timely processing of month-end close books and working within a role demanding proactive support in formulating budgets and forecasts. Persistent collaboration across the entire business at all levels on operational and strategic thoughts is key to success.
Responsibilities:
- Co-leads and co-executes with the NA Finance Supply Chain peers on the month-end close process for all NA Distribution Centers ensuring stated and reliable financial statements. This includes reviewing actual versus budgeted/forecasted spending and issuing monthly variance statements.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and assistance to the Supply Chain Regions, SIOP, Ops Management, and Transportation areas in the formulation of their budgets/forecasts.
- Business partners with the Supply Chain leaders and Distribution Center Supply Chain Leaders to elaborate insights and financial key metrics to make recommendations on actions to improve supply chain execution aligned with the company's business strategy.
- Conducts analyses in such areas as financial performance, cost per pound, cases per people hour, utilization, mix, rate of return, working capital, investments, and other financial-related matters, etc.
- Conducts special financial and business-related studies as requested by management, including supporting the creation of ROI/CER analytics.
- Plays a significant role in designing, implementing, administering, continuously improving, and running financial systems, business templates, and procedures ensuring internal controls and efficient as well as effective execution.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
- A Minimum of 5 years of related financial experience as a Finance Business Partner
- Experience within the supply chain, distribution, or logistics is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP); experience with Visual Basic and PowerPoint preferred.
- SAP experience required; Oracle desired.
This is a hybrid position requiring 15% travel.
