The Role: Senior Flavorist
Reporting to the Senior Flavor Director, you will be responsible for creation of flavor solutions for a broad portfolio of products. Working closely with customers (national & global), cross functional teams internally and the SLT to deliver exceptional flavor experience that meet & exceed market demands.
Your Impact
Flavor Development:
- Develop new and innovative flavor profiles for a variety of product applications.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their specific needs and preferences.
- Conduct research and experimentation to create unique and appealing flavors.
- Ensure that flavors meet regulatory requirements.
Project Management:
- Manage all aspects of flavor development projects, from initial brief to final product launch.
- Provide technical guidance to management and team members.
- Communicate project status effectively to all stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. •
Technical Expertise:
- Stay up to date on the latest flavor trends, ingredients, and regulations.
- Utilize analytical chemistry expertise to analyse and evaluate flavors.
- Provide technical support to the Applications team and Production. •
Collaboration:
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Quality Control.
- Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Participate in taste panels and other sensory evaluations.
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience working as a flavorist.
- BSc in Food Science or related field (MSc preferred).
- Certified member of the SFC.
- Proven experience in developing flavors across a multitude of applications.
- Excellent interpersonal & customer facing/account management skills.
- Experience in technical integration to flavor creation.
