Role Profile: The Senior Footwear Developer at Hari Mari will be a creative self-starter with great problem-solving skills. This individual will be a key contributor to our mission of creating premium, best-in-class footwear that resonates with our brand's commitment to style, comfort, and quality. This role blends technical expertise, creativity, and collaboration to bring innovative ideas to life, with a specific bent toward premium sandals and flip flops. In this role, you will work closely with Hari Mari Management, its Strategic Product Team, and its suppliers. You will have an opportunity to help bring great products to life to meet this shared vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand Hari Mari's product strategy and road map with an eye toward future product ideation, innovation, and creation
• Create development timelines & benchmarks for product development, keeping key partners and suppliers on-task to deliver timely results
• Spearhead design, material, and trim direction for current & future development
• Manage all outbound and inbound communication with suppliers and factory partners, including production revisions/guidance, sample timelines and key delivery deadlines, overseeing turnkey execution of all
• Inspect all samples and production units to ensure all assigned projects meet Hari Mari's quality standards
• Curate new material, article & trim library for Hari Mari
• Develop new material and supply relationships to help bolster product innovation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience in footwear development, preferably in sandals and flip flops, although not required
• Proven track record of managing product development workflow, achieving critical timeline and cost goals while working with nominated partners
• Experience working with vendors & factories to bring product ideation to life
• Experience in building technical packs and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to execute on shared goals and tasks in a self-starting capacity
