I'm delighted to exclusively represent a leading Private Equity fund in their search for a Senior Fund Accountant.
My client's investment strategy is dedicated purely to clean infrastructure and low-carbon real assets throughout North America. The CFO is looking to add a Senior Fund Accountant who can support fund accounting, tax procedures, and the finance needs for the management company within a growing energy transition investor.
Key Responsibilities:Management Company
- Support the CFO for the Management Company
- Prepare quarterly financials, budget review, and monthly close
- Oversee the expense process: review vendor invoices and payments, review employee expense reports, and prepare fund expense allocations
- Assist with the planning and making of tax estimates and payments
- Lead ad-hoc projects to improve operations and automation
Fund Accounting and Tax
- Assist the Controller with the Funds quarterly closing process; includes reviewing the fund administrator's cash and investment bookings, workpapers, capital account statements, and financial statements
- Review capital calls and distribution allocation files and notices
- Coordinate the funds liquidity process for cash management and credit lines
- Support the annual audit and tax return processes, coordinate timelines and scheduling with audit and tax firms and fund administrator
- Work with Investor Relations on requests and due diligence
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 2-4 years of public accounting experience (alternative investment industry) or fund administration
- Ability to work in a self-directed fashion with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with accounting software
- Strong analytical skills, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and attention to detail
- CPA preferred
