Job Description:

As a Hardware Engineer, you will design, develop, and test cutting-edge communication technology, ensuring high performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in creating innovative solutions that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development: Lead circuit card assembly (CCA) design, including component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
  • Testing & Validation: Develop test plans, perform simulations, and validate hardware for performance and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers, IP developers, and stakeholders to integrate CCAs into broader systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve hardware issues during development and production.
  • Optimization: Enhance circuit designs for performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear design records and test results.
  • Project Planning: Develop plans and schedules, managing resources from concept to product release.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior engineers, sharing best practices in hardware design.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation by researching and implementing new methods, tools, and technologies.
  • Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor's or master's in electrical or computer engineering.
    • Experience: 8-15 years in hardware design, including experience with FPGA and microcontroller projects.
    • Tools: Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Cadence OrCAD, Cadence Allegro).
    • Technical Expertise: High-speed digital design (PCI, PCIe, USB, Thunderbolt), analog and digital electronics, signal integrity, power, and thermal management.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills in a team environment.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with DO-254 certification.
    • Familiarity with environmental testing standards (thermal, shock & vibration).
    • Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429.
    • Experience with Multi-Chip Module (MCM) designs is a plus.
