Position Summary: Children's Aid's The P2 Project (The Pregnancy Prevention Project) aims to reduce and prevent the incidence of unintended adolescent pregnancy in Children's Aid's priority areas in NYC by providing young people with the holistic tools to meet their greatest potentials through evidence-based sexuality education, comprehensive reproductive health services, and peer health education. The main objectives of the program are:
Under the supervision of the Family Planning Program Director, the Senior Health Educator will be responsible for the implementation of comprehensive, sexual health education and outreach activities of the Title X Family Planning Program and the JAM Peer Education Program. The Senior Health Educator will provide in-reach trainings for staff as related and required by the Title X program. The Senior Health Educator will also be in charge of recruiting, training, and retaining JAM Peer Educators. The Senior Health Educator will work closely with other team members to ensure that health education materials are engaging and age-appropriate.
