Duties And Responsibilities
The Senior HRIS Analyst maintains HR systems applications and makes recommendations to enhance HR systems functionality. Takes a leadership role in managing projects for HR systems and business solutions. This position partners with HR directors and their customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes, and leverage the return on technological capabilities. This position also serves as the technical point of contact for the HR department and assists with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain all employee data and accuracy of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and other HR systems.
- Partner with functional heads to understand business challenges and offer solutions.
- Serves as an internal business/technical consultant to department management and associates for purposes of decision support, staff training, and problem resolution.
- Writes and maintains a variety of reports and dashboards; responds to ad hoc requests to support people analytics efforts.
- Help define and gather business requirements; recommends solutions that improve business processes and HRIS workflows.
- Coordinates HR project teams to implement systems upgrades, replacements, and/or new applications.
- Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management, and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitor's practices, and other sources.
- Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns in order to help business partners understand process improvement opportunities.
- Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to senior leadership.
- Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.
- Provide support to Global locations including entry into needed systems and coordinate with IT as needed.
- Conduct audits of payroll hours, benefits, and other HR programs and recommending corrective actions.
- Supports the benefit process by assisting with audits to support data integrity within the benefit system and HRIS.
- Other duties as assigned to meet departmental and Company objectives.
Candidate Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources related experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HRIS/HCM system management.
- Strong Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of human resource management.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment law including HR technical knowledge and thorough understanding of laws involving employment, HR, and HR policies.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS, payroll, and similar employee management software.
- Must have strong sense of urgency and be able to multi-task and drive change.
- Must be able to adapt and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, be detail-oriented and have the ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong listening and communication skills with the ability to communicate calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment (if entering designated manufacturing areas) – safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to travel when necessary (10% or less of the time)
Job Qualifications And Experience
- Previous experience with UKG/Ultimate Software a plus.
- Previous experience with the Cornerstone Platform a plus.
