Johnson / 3.2024Supervisory Responsibilities:NoFLSA Status:ExemptPosition Summary: The Senior Human Resource Business Partner implements human resource programs by providing human resource services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health benefits, training and development, records management, employee relations and retentions, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.Essential Functions: A qualified individual with a disability must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.HRBP Support
- Provides HR Business Partner support in areas such as job management, staffing, employee relations, training/development, and other related areas.
- Monitor and provide necessary training and coaching to managers and supervisors.
- Complete day-to-day administration of human resource programs including completing all the necessary paperwork to enroll, terminate and modify employee records.
- Responsible for the administration of all leaves of absences, including the coordination of FMLA and disability.
- Oversees the communication and HR administrative processes pertaining to staffing agencies and other vendors as assigned.
- Process and monitor departmental invoices for payment.
- May assist with the organization's salary and benefit administration programs.
- May assist with the organization's affirmative action plan.
Employee Relations
- Assist in employee relations issues with plant management to affect prompt and appropriate resolution.
- Interprets Company policy for supervisors and employees. Assists and provides input toward the development of policies and procedures.
- Provides assistance to employees and supervisors in solving work-related problems. Evaluates the issue and meets with supervisors to determine effective remediation techniques, such as job skills training or personal intervention, to resolve human relations issues.
- Assist with internal investigations regarding issues of unfair employment and discrimination complaints.
Staffing
- Direct internal job posting process to ensure timely posting of open positions. Reviews all internal applications and works with hiring manager to ensure proper placement of internal candidates.
- Source qualified candidates through advertising, approved recruiters, and other recruiting sources, while adhering to the affirmative action plan.
- Interview and assist in the selection of qualified candidates to fill approved positions. Coach managers on candidate interviewing and selection. Analyzes job requirements making recommendation of final selection.
- Manage hourly employment offer processes and all pre-employment steps references, background check, and drug screen in preparation for completing the hiring process.
- Follow through on all resumes and applications received for open positions to ensure that proper correspondence is sent to applicants.
- Maintains applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Performs new employee orientation to foster positive outlook toward the company and company goals.
- Assist with employee training and/or development, including sexual harassment awareness training, diversity and inclusion training and other training programs as assigned.
- Assist with the coordination of the annual benefit open enrollment process.
- Assist all employees with the benefit enrollment process.
Employee Record Processing
- Oversees the off-boarding process.
- Prepare and process termination paperwork.
- Complete transactions for all employee changes that represent a change in status among which include promotions, transfers, separations, approved leaves, etc.
- Process Human Resource Information System data and maintain as necessary.
- Enter and verify timecards in the appropriate systems.
Provides assistance, coordination and support to the Human Resources department as requested. Perform other duties as assigned such as but not limited to: special projects, mailings, postings, maintenance of employee records, etc.Non-Essential Functions:

Required Skills:
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, HRIS systems.

- Demonstrated ability to implement creative solutions while working under pressure and is self-directed.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
- The role requires an individual to quickly change and adapt to new priorities and a patient individual who can be objective and ask appropriate questions that uncover underlying issues.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Business Management or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- 4+ years of human resources and/or administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment is required.
- HR policy and Procedure Knowledge.
- Labor and Employment Law (NLRB, EEO, ADA, AA, FMLA, etc.)
- Recruiting and staffing practices.
- PHR/SHRM-CP certification or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
- Required to occasionally stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 10-pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- Safety glasses are required on the production floor at all times.
- Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
- Occasionally subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electric current and exposure to heat and chemicals.
- Occasionally subject to conditions including one or more of the following that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, or poor ventilation.
- Occasionally exposed to cold, hot, wet and/or humid shop conditions.
